
Wingnuts Announce Exhibition Schedule

WICHITA, KS- The Wichita Wingnuts announced their 2010 exhibition schedule on Friday.
The Wingnuts have three preseason games planned, all at Lawrence-Dumont Stadium, beginning with a matchup against Emporia State University on Tuesday, May 4th at 7:05 p.m. The nationally ranked Hornets reached the NCAA Division-II championship game last season. Several Wingnuts players spent their collegiate years at Emporia State, including right-hander Gabe Medina.
Later in the week, the Wingnuts welcome the Northern League's Kansas City T-Bones on Saturday, May 8th at 7:05 p.m. and Sunday, May 9th at 5:05 p.m. Wichita and Kansas City met during the Wingnuts' inaugural Spring Training in 2008 at Community America Ballpark. The T-Bones won the 2008 Northern League championship.
Tickets for all three exhibition contests are general admission and can be purchased for just $7.00 at the gate one hour prior to the scheduled first pitch.
The Wingnuts open the 2010 season on May 13th at St. Paul. The 2010 home opener is scheduled for Tuesday, May 18th versus the Sioux Falls Pheasants. Season tickets and group packages are on sale now. For more information, call the Wingnuts' office at (316) 264-NUTS.
