Windy City Soldiers 2008 season gets underway on Friday

Kankakee, IL -The Windy City Soldiers' first season in Kankakee kicks off this weekend with a two game set against the USA All-Stars. The Soldiers will square off against the Black #2 team on Friday, March 14 at 11:00am, and take on the Black #1 team on Sunday, March 16 at 11:00am. Both games will be played at the Genesis Center in Gary, Indiana. Roster information for both of the Soldiers' opponents is available on the USA All-Stars page on the IBL's website (www.iblhoopsonline.com)
The Soldiers' 2008 roster is highlighted by Barry Bradford and Amir Major, who both earned IBL All-Star honors in 2007. Major, 6'5", is a capable scorer, who averaged 20.6 points per game last season for the Soldiers. Bradford, 6'0", averaged 15.8 points per contest last season, and will again be relied on to run the offense.
6'10" center Erik Rhinehart is a huge addition in the middle, giving the Soldiers an inside presence that they lacked a season ago. 6'9" CeCe Malone will also help bolster the interior. The complete 2008 roster is listed below.
