
Express announce intra-squad scrimmage

Elkhart, IN- Are you ready for some basketball? Elkhart Express fans have an opportunity to preview the 2008 team at the Blue/Gold Intra Squad scrimmage at 3 p.m. Saturday at Memorial High School.
This event is free of charge and will give fans an opportunity to meet the team, get autographs and take photos. Season ticket holders also can pick up their tickets at this time.
Prior to the scrimmage, Daimon's Kids Youth Team will plan an intra-squad game at 2 p.m. as they prepare to compete in China. The Youth Team is made up of 12 middle school students selected earlier this year from a group of about 30 that participated in tryouts.
The Express begins its campaign to bring home its third International Basketball League championship at 7:15 p.m. March 22 against the Gary Steelheads at the Genesis Center in Gary. The Steelheads joined the IBL last November. The team formerly played in the Continental Basketball Association and the United States Basketball League.
The Express' home opener is March 29 against the Windy City Soldiers at North Side Gym.
The Express will play a 20 game schedule between March 22 and June 21. Season tickets are now available for $145 (courtside), $90 (adult 18 and over, lower reserve), and $60 (youth 17 and under, lower reserve). Single session tickets are available at the gate.
