Windy City Bulls to Wear Sgt. Slaughter-Inspired Jerseys During Military Appreciation Night on March 17

HOFFMAN ESTATES, IL - The Windy City Bulls, NBA G League affiliate of the Chicago Bulls, presented by BMO Harris Bank, will be hosting its second annual Military Appreciation Night at 7 PM on Saturday, March 17 at the Sears Centre Arena in Hoffman Estates.
During this special event, Windy City Bulls players will be wearing Sargent Slaughter-inspired game jerseys and shorts that pay tribute to the legendary G.I. Joe character. Each uniform set will be auctioned off to raise funds for two charitable partners, Operation Horses and Heroes and the Hines Fisher House .
The special game uniforms represent the outfit that Sargent Slaughter made famous in the 1980'S G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero cartoon series and include images of his trademark whistle, sunglasses, tank and camouflage pants.
The game jerseys and shorts will be available to bid online for one week only, from March 12 - 19 when you click HERE , and each set will be signed by the Windy City Bulls player who dons them for the game. In addition, Sargent Slaughter will be signing two custom jerseys that will also be auctioned.
Throughout the March 17 event, fans will have the opportunity to see U.S. Army vehicle displays up-close and make custom dog tags. The Windy City Bulls will also be recognizing special guests throughout the evening, including local Gold Star Families, Medal of Honor recipient Al Lynch and a group of new Army recruits who will be sworn into service during an in-game, on-court ceremony.
Football legend Jim McMahon has donated his time and will be participating in the event by signing autographs on the concourse before the game for a $25 donation with all proceeds donated to the charitable partners for the game.
