Windsor Left Stranded by Storm

(CHARLOTTETOWN, PEI) The Island Storm blasted Windsor 129-104 in Game 3 of the NBL Finals, taking a 2-1 series lead, on Wednesday night.

Windsor actually held a tight 33-32 lead after the first quarter, but the Storm took off in the second, outscoring the Express 36-15 and never looked back.

The Island sealed the deal with a 32-24 decision in the fourth.

Storm forward, Antonio Ballard led all scorers with 35 points and added 13 rebounds.

DeAndre Thomas posted a 26 point, 8 rebound game for Windsor.

Chris Commons had 19 and a game-high 13 rebounds.

A key number in the loss for Windsor was bench scoring, as the Island Storm had a 31-12 advantage.

Windsor will look to tie the series back up on Friday, April 11th at the Eastlink Centre in Charlottetown at 6:00pm Eastern Time.

At home, the Express will be hosting another viewing party, this time at The Fox and Fiddle at 3560 Walker Road in Windsor.

If necessary, the next Express home game will be Game 6 on Tuesday, April 15th at the WFCU Centre.
