Homestand Recap:
7.4 - Over 6,100 fans attended the first Wind Surge game held at Riverfront Stadium on the 4th of July.
7.4, 7.6-7.10 - The Wind Surge dropped the series to the Amarillo Sod Poodles.
7.7- Two Wind Surge staff members spoke at a Y Men's Club meeting about their day-to-day duties working in MiLB.
7.7 - The Wind Surge announced the first-ever high school football game at Riverfront Stadium will be between Bishop Carroll and Kapaun Mt. Carmel on October 7.
7.7- Wind Surge outfielder Matt Wallner, and former Wind Surge infielder Spencer Steer, were selected to play in the All-Star Future's Game.
7.7- Kansas Kids at Gear Up heard from Wind Surge staff members about their career paths.
7.8 - Wind Surge infielder Andrew Bechtold, hit his first walk-off home run as a Wind Surge player.
7.9 - Windy made an appearance at the Wichita Sports Memorabilia Expo to support the Senior Services of Wichita.
Upcoming Events & Promotions:
7.12-7.17 - The Wind Surge will host the Arkansas Travelers, Double-A Affiliate of the Seattle Mariners, for a six-game homestand.
7.12 - Wind Surge Pitcher Sawyer Gipson-Long will join Wind Surge staff members at the Wichita Public Library to read to kids and film a commercial.
7.12 - Two-for-Tuesday - Get two tickets for the price of one when showing a Dillons Shopper Card or the Dillons App at the Wind Surge Box Office. Fans can also enjoy two-for-one Honeysuckle White Turkey Burgers from Cargill and two-for-one drinks from Kona Ice.
7.13 - 12:05 start time for Summer Camp Day. It's also Military Wednesday - active or retired military members can get $10 box sets when showing their Military ID or DD-214 at the Wind Surge Box Office.
7.14 - Turbo Tubs and Thirsty Thursday sponsored by Corona - The Wind Surge will take the field as the Turbo Tubs and fans can enjoy half-priced regular fountain sodas and select 16 oz beers.
7.15- Summer Halloween & Fireworks Friday - Fans can join Windy in dressing up in Halloween garb and can stick around to enjoy post-game fireworks. Wichita Baseball Museum ribbon cutting at 3:00pm
7.16- Christmas in July - fans who wish to celebrate Christmas are encouraged to dress up in festive outfits.
7.17 - Sunday Fun Day - Pre-game catch on the field for all ages and post-game kids 3-12 run the bases sponsored by Sonic.
