Wilmington Sharks fans can look forward to another fun summer at Buck Hardee field during the 2018 summer. The 26-game schedule begins on Thursday, May 31st . The Sharks have planned a variety of promotions, theme nights, and discounts throughout the season and much more for fans.
"This summer is going to be our biggest and best yet for our fans and their families", says Carson Bowen, Director of Baseball Operations. "We're hosting 6 fireworks shows, 5 giveaway nights, 6 Thirsty Thursdays, playing in 6 new uniforms, as well as tons of new things to have our fans fired up all summer long."

On three Wednesdays during the 2018 summer, fans can bring their dogs to join them at the ballpark. Jaws-n-Paws is back on June 13th, July 11th, and August 1st . The Sharks will be donating $2 to the local Humane Society for each dog admitted to the ballpark on these nights.
Wednesday June 27th is Super Splash Day, where children can get a $10 ticket to the water features, the baseball game, and a traditional ballpark meal. The gates will open at 10am, with a 1pm first pitch.
Whether you've got 4 quarters, 100 pennies, or a crispy Washington, the Sharks will exchange those for 12 ounces of draft beer on each of their 6 Thirsty Thursdays. Each Friday night home game this summer will be followed by an unforgettable fireworks show.
In addition to the 5 Friday Night Fireworks shows, the Sharks are hosting their annual FIN- dependence Day Extravaganza on Monday, July 2nd . New this summer, the Sharks will be wearing special jerseys on each of these nights. The game-worn jerseys will be up for auction, with the proceeds benefiting a local charity.
The first 500 kids admitted to the ballpark for each Saturday game will receive a free gift! Items planned for 2018 are a Sharks Hat on June 2nd, Beach Cooler on June 9th, Sharks Kids Jersey on June 16th, Sharks Logo Baseball on June 23rd, and a Sharks Bobblehead on July 28th.
Also new to the Shark Tank this summer is the addition of food trucks on weekend games.
