Wilmington, NC: A lively Friday night crowd at the Schwartz Center watched as the visiting Carolina Gladiators (Smithfield, NC) start the game on a 6 - 0 run. The Sea Dawgs stormed back, and the teams exchanged leads throughout the first quarter. The Sea Dawgs took control in the second quarter and led by 14 at halftime. The Gladiators could get no closer than 12 points in the second half, with the Sea Dawgs getting key rebounds, drawing charges, and scoring easy points in the paint. The lead swelled to over 30 points in the 4th quarter, and the Sea Dawgs won by a final score of 114 - 87. Forward J.J. Cook had 31 points in the game for Wilmington. Center Travis Taylor tossed in 30 points for Carolina. The Sea Dawgs host the Cary Invasion Saturday night at the Schwartz Center at 7 pm. Carolina plays next against the Queen City Express on April 14th in Smithfield.
