Durham, N.C. -- Bangor's Willie King and New Jersey's Ben Grezlovksi were named SportsTicker Northeast League Batter and Pitcher of the Week, respectively, on Monday, June 14.
King, who became the second-straight Lumberjack to nab the weekly honor, hit .556 last week with a home run and four RBI. The first-year player added two doubles and scored four runs, while slugging .833 and reaching base 60 percent of the time.
Grezlovski, who joins Jackson Crowther as the second Jackal to be selected Pitcher of the Week, tossed six innings, all in relief, and did not surrender an earned run, while picking up three saves. He allowed four hits and struck out five for New Jersey, which has won five in-a-row and moved into first place in the South division.
