Sioux Falls Skyforce News Release
SIOUX FALLS, S.D., Mar. 5 - The Sioux Falls Skyforce's Frank Williams and Bobby Jones combined for 62 points Thursday night at the Sioux Falls Arena as the Skyforce defeated the Central Division-leading Iowa Energy by a score of 121-101.
The Skyforce (20-17) trailed 57-48 at half, and the game looked to be a repeat of Tuesday night's loss to the Energy. But Sioux Falls outscored Iowa 44-18 in the third quarter to take a 92-75 lead. Williams scored 19 points in the third quarter alone.
The Energy (21-13) was unable to answer in the fourth quarter and Sioux Falls walked away with the victory. Iowa was outrebounded 51-36 in the loss and committed 18 turnovers.
"We really stepped up to the challenge tonight," Skyforce head coach Nate Tibbetts said. "Our guys knew this was a big game and they were able to bounce back. It was definitely a good win."
Williams netted 32 points for the Skyforce and Jones had an all-around night with 30 points, 10 rebounds and six assists. Kasib Powell added 18 points while David Bailey recorded a double-double with 12 points and a season-high 10 assists.
