Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Pioneers News Release

Wilkes-Barre, PA - The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Pioneers are pleased to announce that Dave Raspen was recently hired as a ticketing account representative. Raspen previously served as a graduate intern with the Pioneers during the team's inaugural season.

"Dave was an invaluable part of our staff during our inaugural campaign," said Pioneers' General Manager Rick Sneed. "We're thrilled that he has decided to become a permanent member of the Pioneers' family."

Before joining the Pioneers organization, Raspen served as a graduate assistant at East Stroudsburg University, where he earned his Masters Degree in Sport Management.

"This is a real honor for me," said Raspen. "Working for the team during the inaugural season was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. I know we'll be even better in 2003."

Raspen will take over the primary ticketing and fan satisfaction responsibilities from Nick Bayachek, who recently left the Pioneers organization to pursue other interests.

The Pioneers expect to further upgrade their ticketing department over the next several months in an effort to improve customer service and help the organization function more efficiently in 2003.
