The Minnesota Wilderness fought back into the series against Wenatchee to tie it at 2 games a piece heading into game 5. The fifth game of the series proved the toughness of the two teams in the Midwest first round series. After a scoreless game at the end of regulation the game went into overtime where Wenatchee scored the game winner (18:41). Goalie Kasimir Kaskisuo had 53 saves in the loss.
