Wildcatters To Hold "IceCats" Auditions

BEAUMONT, TX (August 19, 2005) - The Texas Wildcatters announced today they will be holding open auditions for the 2005-2006 IceCats Dance Team.
The tryouts will be held on Thursday, September 1 at Ford Arena with registration beginning at 7:00 p.m. and auditions starting at 7:45 p.m. The public is invited to attend the auditions, which will be judged by area dance instructors and several local media personalities.
The audition is open to girls at least 18 years of age who are interested in working in the professional sports and entertainment industry. Those selected for the squad will appear at Wildcatters home games, as well as other team and community events. Dancers must wear jazz or "hot" pants and midriff tops for the audition. In addition, makeup and jazz or tennis shoes are required and hair should be worn down. A $5.00 registration fee will be charged the night of the audition and a valid drivers license or picture ID must be shown.
"As part of our focus on the overall entertainment experience, we are excited to bring back our dance team this season," stated Wildcatters Vice President Doug Price. "Aside from performing, the IceCats will be much more involved in the game this year as they will assist with on-ice promotions, be available for photos and autograph sessions with our fans and just generally interact with the crowd during the season. In addition, the IceCats will be available for community and charity appearances throughout the year."
