Montreal, March 8th 2010- The Montreal Juniors visited Moncton for the last stop on this road trip as they faced the Moncton Wildcats. The Juniors lost to the Wildcats by the score of 4 to 1. Montreal is now 31-28-2-5 while Moncton is at 46-13-2-4.
Juniors Nicolas Chouinard gave the Juniors the lead at 14:01 of the first period from Jeremy Gouchie and Guillaume Asselin on the power play.
It was the Wildcats who controlled the second and third period. Randy Cameron and Ted Stephens scored two goals in the second to give the Wildcats the lead. Cameron would strike again in the third at 8:23 while Russian native Kirill Kabanov added the insurance as the Wildcats topped the Juniors 4 to 1.
Juniors goaltender Etienne Marcoux was excellent as he stopped 39/43 shots in the loss while Nicola Riopel denied 24/26 in the win. The Juniors will head home to finish this regular season with two games in Montreal against the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies at 7:35PM on Friday, March 12th, and Sunday, March 14th at 4:05PM.
