
Wild Signs Right Wing Ian Schultz to PTO

DES MOINES, IA - Iowa Wild General Manager Jim Mill announced on Tuesday the American Hockey League club (AHL) has signed right wing Ian Schultz to a professional tryout agreement (PTO).
Schultz joins Iowa from the Allen Americans of the ECHL. In 44 games with Allen, the 24-year old has 19 goals and 38 points, placing fourth best on the team in scoring. He is fourth on the team in goals and fourth overall in penalty minutes. Over the course of his five-year career, Schultz has played in 107 AHL games, all with the Hamilton Bulldogs. For his AHL career, the Calgary, AB native has nine goals and 27 points, to go along with 155 minutes in penalties. The 6-foot-2, 205-pounder has played in 253 pro games between the AHL, ECHL and CHL. He has 43 goals and 97 points in his pro career. Schultz was drafted by the St. Louis Blues in the third round (#87 overall) of the 2008 NHL Entry Draft. He played his junior hockey with the WHLs Calgary Hitmen, playing in 196 games with 55 goals and 72 assists for 127 points.
After stops in Charlotte and Milwaukee, Iowa returns home at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 24 to face Grand Rapids. It's a Taco Tuesday - presented by Taco Johns, where each fan that comes to the game receives a coupon for a free crispy beef taco from Taco Johns. It's also a two-for-one Tuesday, where fans may purchase one attack end ticket and receive a second ticket one free, sponsored by Hits 99.9 FM. Also, those who bring in a Subway receipt may purchase a $5 game ticket at the box office. Iowa is also hosting a food drive, presented by Zerorez. Fans are encouraged to bring in a canned fruit item to receive a ticket voucher to a future regular season weekday game.
The Iowa Wild 2014-15 season is presented by Mercy Medical Center, it runs from October through April. Fans may purchase seats to see any of the team's 38 regular season home games at Wells Fargo Arena. Season tickets to see the Wild play at Wells Fargo Arena start at just $9 per game.
