Wild Sends Johnson to Dubuque: Narsing Called Up

WENATCHEE, Wash. - The Wenatchee Wild announced today thatit has traded defenseman Eric Johnson(Madison, Wisconsin) to the Dubuque Fighting Saints of the United States HockeyLeague (USHL). In return, the Wild received First Right of Refusal for the nextthree players that the Fighting Saints move out of the USHL.

Johnson, 19, recorded two assists and was plus-8 in 19 gameswith the Wild this season. A University of Notre Dame recruit, Johnson scoredtwo goals and added five assists (7 points) in 29 games with the Wild lastseason. He went on to score two goals and was plus-3 during the Wild's playoffrun last season.

"Eric is an outstanding young man," said Bill Stewart, president and managingpartner of the Wenatchee Wild. "We wish him the best in his future endeavors onand off the ice."

Wild U18 defenseman TylerNarsing (Seattle, Wash.) will take Johnson's place on the blue line whenthe Wild host the Alaska Avalanche today and Saturday at the Town ToyotaCenter. Narsing, 17, who is 6 feet tall and 180 pounds, has two assists in fivegames with the U18 team this season.

Dubuque, under the direction of head coach and generalmanager Jim Montgomery, is currently in first place in the USHL's West Divisionwith a record of 11-4-2.
