
Wild Continues Season at Home on Saturday

The Wichita Wild will play in front of the home crowd for the fourth time in 2011 on Saturday night. The Wild will be looking for their first win of the season vs. the also winless Amarillo Venom. This will be the first all-time meeting between the franchises. The game kicks off at 7:05 pm at Hartman Arena. It is Wichita State Night. Join Gregg Marshall and members of the NIT Champion Men's Basketball team at the game. Fans wearing WSU apparel can get a ticket for just $5.
The Wild (0-5) again improved their performance in last week's game in Omaha. The Wild allowed a season low total of points in their 36-24 loss. Newcomer Xavier Jordan led the team in tackles with 9.5. Rashad Washington continued his solid play by accumulating 7.5 tackles. Offensively for the Wild, Darius Fudge rushed for 54 yards and a touchdown. Edgar Givens led the team in receiving with five catches for 45 yards and a touchdown.
Amarillo (0-6) is led at the wide receiver position by DuVaughn Flagler. Flagler has 25 receptions and four touchdowns. Both X'Zavier Bloodshaw and Andrew Carcich split time at the quarterback position. Bloodashaw has 11 TD's and 11 INT's. Carcich has played the last two games for the Venom and has accumulated two TD's and tow INT's this season.
