Wichita Wild News Release

The Wichita Wild of the Indoor Football League (IFL) found an anchor to the offensive line on Tuesday with the signing of Wes Yarbough (pronounced yar-bo). Yarbough comes to the Wild after spending time with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this past spring.

Yarbough was invited to participate in mini-camp with the Buccaneers in May after two successful seasons at Fort Hays State. In 2009, Fort Hays averaged over 40 points in the nine games that Yarbough started. The Tigers finished with their first winning season since 2004 with a 6-5 record. Yarbrough allowed only two sacks and was named to the All-MIAA Team for his efforts.

In 2008, Yarbough played in all 11 games for the Tigers. The Missouri City, TX native only allowed two sacks and was named All-Conference. Yarbough played for North Iowa Area Community College in 2007. The Trojans won the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference title and played in the Graphics Edge Bowl. Yarbough started his college career at Prairie View A & M in 2006. Yarbough saw playing time in all ten games as the Panthers finished 3-7.
