Wild Add Running Back and Two Linebackers to Roster

With training camp opening on March 5, the Wichita Wild of the Indoor Football League (IFL) is continuing to build the 2009 roster. The Wild have signed twin brothers Brenden and Quinton Boatwright as well as Teon Wilson to the roster for 2009.

Brenden and Quinton have followed similar paths in their professional and collegiate careers. Brenden played running back at Alabama State during the 2002 and 2003 seasons. He gained 405 yards on 101 carries and scored two touchdowns for the Hornets in 2003. As a Junior in 2002, Brenden gained 350 yards on 80 carries during the campaign. Brenden played at Compton Community College (CCC) during his first two years of college eligibility.

Quinton also played at CCC during the 1999 and 2000 seasons. Quinton played linebacker and recorded over 200 tackles during his time with the Tartars.

Following their collegiate career, the Boatwright?s went on to play for the Lakeland Thunderbolts of the World Indoor Football league in 2005. The brothers spent training camp with the Dallas Desperados of the Arena Football League in 2007.

This will be Wilson?s second season of indoor football. Wilson spent part of 2008 with the Sioux City Bandits of the IFL. Wilson played in three games before being injured and lost for the season.

Wilson?s senior year of college was in 2006 and he played at Central Methodist University in Fayette, MO. Wilson let the Heart of America Conference with 12 sacks during the campaign and was named to the All-Conference team. Before attending Central Methodist, Wilson served his country in Iraq for a year. Wilson played at Central Missouri State and East Central Community College before joining the military.
