Wichita B-52s Post-Flight Report from Vegas

Wichita, Kansas - November 18, 2013 - Fortunes were against the B-52s on Saturday as they fell to the undefeated Las Vegas Legends. The B-52s were aware of the large task at hand and the importance of shutting down the league's current leading scorer (Tovar), but they couldn't account for the unusual type of playing surface and questionable officiating. These factors weren't the sole cause of the result; the Legends' skill and ability was apparent. However, frustration escalated for the B-52s and the penalties mounted, as they gifted Vegas with 8 powerplays, 5 of which resulted in goals.

Our young squad is gaining experience and learning how to play with eachother. Nathan Modesto and Maikel Chang opened up their B-52 scoring accounts! And veteran defenders Chris Lemons and Brady Bryant have joined the line-up.

The B-52s will host Hidalgo La Fiera on Saturday (23rd) at 7:05pm at Hartman Arena! La Fiera are a rebranding from last season's Rio Grande Valley Flash. In the RGV Flash's inaugural season last year, they finished 2nd in the Central Division and were Ron Newman Cup semifinalists with a 12 and 4 record. La Fiera is currently 2 and 1 and will face the Tulsa Revolution on Friday night in a double-header weekend.
