
WhiteWings Take Series from Thunder

Edinburg, Texas - The Rio Grande Valley WhiteWings scored nine runs in the first three innings of play in route to an 11-0 victory over the McAllen Thunder Sunday night at Edinburg Baseball Stadium.
WhiteWings (14-9) shortstop Legum Barroso led the offense by contributing four runs driven in, with four hits, and scored three times to pace the offense.
Luis Noel (2-1) earned the win by throwing seven scoreless innings on two hits and struck out six batters. Clint Bowker threw for two scoreless innings and permitted one hit.
Brian Murphy (1-3) took the loss for the Thunder (7-17) lasting only two and two-thirds innings while allowing ten hits and nine runs.
The Thunder will start a two game series on Monday night against the Edinburg Roadrunners at Edinburg Baseball Stadium with the first pitch set for 7:05 p.m.
