Harlingen, TX - The Rio Grande Valley WhiteWings signed pitcher Chris Gale following game one of last night's doubleheader. He is expected to pitch in relief.

Gale, a 24-year old right hander, has two years of professional experience with the San Diego Surf Dawgs of the Golden Baseball League (Independent).

The University of Virginia product went 7-9 with a 5.31 ERA in 39 games (26 starts).

In 157.2 innings, he gave up 199 hits while walking 42 and striking out 88.

Gale was born in Kansas City, Missouri and currently resides in Durham, New Hampshire.

He is 6'4 and weighs 215 pounds.

Outfielder Andrew Revall was released to keep the roster at 22 men.

Revall scored the game winning run for the WhiteWings as a pinch-runner in the bottom of the tenth of game one of last night's doubleheader (6-5 win). He went 0-7 with three strikeouts in five games.
