Where's the Beef?

January 1, 2014 - Lone Star Football League (LSFL)
San Angelo Bandits News Release

The San Angelo Bandits are excited to announce the addition of three offensive lineman to the 2014 roster. Head coach Joe Brannen has signed three veteran pass protectors, all with prior indoor football experience.

The 6'4" 340 pound Willie Bradley comes to San Angelo after spending the previous two seasons in Abilene with the Bombers. "In my opinion Willie is one of the top offensive lineman in the league, said Brannen. He is a big, strong guy that excels at the tackle position, but can also flip to the other side of the line and play tight end for us. After spending two years in our offensive system, he understands it as a coach would. I will look to him to be a leader on the offensive line in 2014."

Eric Davis played his college football at Iowa Weslyan University. As an LSFL rookie in 2013 he gained valuable experience, appearing in 7 games with the Abilene Bombers. In his rookie season, the 6'5" 280 pound Davis played every position on the offensive line at one time, and spent a little bit of time working on the defensive line. "Last season Eric accumulated a great deal of experience at multiple positions. He started for us at tight end and fullback, and also had a number of valuable game snaps at tackle and nose guard on the defensive line. In this game, with a limited game day roster, a player like Eric is invaluable due to his ability to play each position on the offensive line as well as switch over and help us out on defense in certain personnel packages," Coach Brannen commented.

The Hardin-Simmons University product, Glenn Revell joins the Bandits after a two year indoor football stint in Knoxville, Tennessee. The 6'1" 270 pound fullback brings even more experience to the 2014 squad. "Glenn is a guy that played center and guard in college and transitioned to fullback in his arena career. In our system, where we put the ball in the air 90 percent of the time, we use an offensive lineman at the fullback position and he will fill that role nicely. In addition to his fantastic pass pro technique, his athletic ability will be a huge weapon for us in the run and screen game this season," said Brannen.

"As we continue to build this roster, what excites me most is the type of players and people we are bringing into San Angelo, said Coach Brannen. These are all guys that have had a great deal of personal success on the football field, but on top of that, they will represent this city in a manner in which San Angelo will be proud of. They will be great ambassadors of San Angelo Bandit Football."

The 2014 season is just around the corner. Make sure to stop by the Bandit office or call us at 924-(3696) DOWN to grab your tickets, you don't want to miss out on the action!
