San Angelo Bandits News Release
San Angelo, Texas - The San Angelo Bandits picked up two players capable of playing six different positions in Broderick Jackson and Antonio Bray. The two give the Bandits more options at nearly every position on the field.
"Both of these guys have exceptional feel for the game, having played so many positions in college," said General Manager and Head Coach Meadow Lemon. "In this league, you can never have too much depth, and it's so valuable to be able to play a primary position and handle other positions if needed."
Jackson (6'0" 195), hired primarily to play defensive back for the Bandits, spent time at linebacker, running back, and safety in college. He started at Tyler Jr. College and wrapped up his collegiate career with Rice, helping the Owls to a 10-4 record in 2013.
Bray (5'7" 175) was an all-around offensive threat at Sterling College (Calif.) in 2014-15, where he amassed 951 yards rushing and 520 receiving yards as a senior. He returned kicks and punts for the Warriors, gaining another 640 yards on returns. He had 23 total touchdowns as a senior (16 rushing, five receiving, two returns).
