Brandon, MB. -- Fresh off a busy 3-game Western Hockey League road trip over the weekend, the Brandon Wheat Kings have announced plans for a busy week away from the rink this coming week.

Before playing host to the Eastern Division leading Prince Albert Raiders on Friday night, members of the WHL club will be visiting Canadian Forces Base Shilo on Tuesday, Hillside Colony on Wednesday and King George School on Thursday.

As well, five members of the club including veterans Ryan Pulock, Nick Buonassisi and Jens Meilleur will be representing the Wheat Kings at the 1st Annual "Applebee's Men of Movember Night" on Wednesday night from 5-7pm.

In addition to helping serve dinner, the Wheat Kings will be signing autographs and helping the Applebees staff sell raffle tickets for a large selection of Wheat Kings' prizes. Proceeds from the sale of the tickets will go to the hockey team's Movember Campaign, in support of men's health.

Following is a review of this week's activities:

CFB SHILO - Tuesday, November 20th Three members of the Wheat Kings including veteran netminder Corbin Boes will be skating with members of the Squirts, Novice, Atoms and Pee Wees. Boes, Jayce Hawryluk and Jason Swyripa will also be signing autographs and distributing "free" tickets to Brandon's December 7th game against the Spokane Chiefs, compliments of Canadian Tire, Teleco Supply and the ConstructionAssociation of Rural Manitoba (CARM).

HILLSIDE COLONY - Wednesday, November 21st CIBC Read to Succeed Program Visit

APPLEBEE'S RESTAURANT - Wednesday, November 21st "Wheat Kings Men of Movember Night" Hosted by Candace Bowles of 880 CKLQ.

KING GEORGE SCHOOL - Thursday, November 22nd November School Patrol Luncheon Honorary School Patrol captain Ryan Pulock will deliver a delicious Subway lunch to over two dozen patrols at King George. The School Patrol unit was recently recognized for their hard work and dedication by the Brandon Police Service. In addition to enjoying lunch with the Wheat Kings, the patrols will receive complimentary tickets to an upcoming home game, courtesy of Manitoba PublicInsurance and The Brandon Sun.

Friday's game against the Raiders will be the first of a weekend home and home series with Prince Albert. Following the game, the two teams will travel back to Saskatchewan for a Saturday night date.
