Brandon Wheat Kings News Release

Brandon, MB. - Fresh off a 3-game in three night Western Hockey League weekend, the Brandon Wheat Kings will be busy off the ice on Tuesday.

At noon, members of the WHL club were visiting Waverly Park School as the Brandon Police Service has chosen it for January's School Patrol Unit of the Month.

In addition to providing a Subway luncheon to close to forty school patrol members at Waverly Park, members of the hockey club will be signing autographs and distributing complimentary tickets to an upcoming home game, courtesy of The Brandon Sun.

Later that afternoon, veteran Cole Reinhart will be joined by netminder Jiri Patera and 16-year old center Ridly Greig at Superstore.

The Wheat Kings will be signing autographs, bagging groceries and greeting customers from 5-6pm.

As well, the players will be signing autographs, posing for photographs and will have a limited number of youth tickets to give away, compliments of the hockey club's J & G Lil Builders Program.

A busy day will conclude Tuesday night as three players Baron Thompson, Lynden McCallum, Ethan Kruger and Luka Burzan will be travelling out to Souris as the hockey club hosts its fourth Hockey Manitoba Minor Hockey Caravan of the 2018-19 campaign.

In addition to skating with several minor hockey teams, the Wheat Kings will be signing autographs as well as distributing tickets - courtesy of Brandon McDonalds - to all members of Sours Minor Hockey.

Brandon resumes its regular season schedule this coming week with back to back games against the visiting Kootenay Ice at Westoba Place.

Friday's game is Winnipeg Blue Bomber Night, with quarterback Matt Nichols expected to be on hand to sign autographs and perform the ceremonial opening face-off.

Tickets to both games are on sale at the Keystone Centre box office, by calling (204) 726-3555 or online at keystonecentre.com.
