
What to Know Ahead of FC Cincinnati 2's MLS NEXT Pro Home Opener

FC Cincinnati 2, coming off their inaugural MLS NEXT Pro match in Philadelphia, return home and are set to open their first-ever MLS NEXT Pro campaign at home against Toronto FC II. Kickoff is set for 2 p.m. ET from NKU Soccer Stadium on Sunday, April 3, on the campus of Northern Kentucky University in Highland Heights, KY.
Gates open at 1 p.m. for fans, and admission will be free up to stadium capacity, which is just above 1,000 spectators. Concessions will be served in the venue, and parking is available on campus around the stadium.

Head Coach Tyrone Marshall applauded the two academy players who made their professional debuts in Sunday's season opener, Gerardo "Dado" Valenzuena and Morgan Marshall, Tyrone's son, in his Wednesday media availability.
Marshall also commended the group for their performance on Sunday against a tough opponent who had already had time to build that chemistry and establish a system-something he says he sees continuing to develop at FC Cincinnati and with FCC 2.

FC Cincinnati 2 is the MLS NEXT Pro squad for MLS' FC Cincinnati. FC Cincinnati 2 is designed to serve as the bridge between the FC Cincinnati Academy and first team and will begin play in 2022. FC Cincinnati 2 will play a 24-game slate, culminating in an eight-club playoff format with a cup final. The club will be led by Head Coach Tyrone Marshall and train at Mercy Health Training Center. FC Cincinnati 2 will play matches at NKU Soccer Stadium, Mercy Health Training Center, and TQL Stadium. The full schedule can be viewed here.
The club's crest is similar to the first team logo, with Gary the Lion being replaced by a block number "2" in the bottom half of the crest. The club will don the orange Juncta Juvant kits along with the navy-blue Dynamic Kit, and both kits will feature the FC Cincinnati 2 badge.
