West Virginia Black Bears News Release
The West Virginia Black Bears, along with their sponsor, Pampered 4 Paws, raised $888 for Homeward Bound WV, in their inaugural season.
On August 5, 2015, the Black Bears hosted Bark in the Park night. This is a night where fans may bring their furry friends to enjoy a game at the ballpark. Black Bears and Pamper 4 Paws staff made special accommodations for the unique fan base. Designating one grass area as Puppy Hill, the dogs had a place to play, use the restroom and get water. The admission for dogs required a minimum $5 donation for the charity. All proceeds went directly to Homeward Bound WV.
Homeward Bound WV is a non-profit, no-kill rescue center located in Preston County, WV. The group of dedicated volunteers helps to improve the lives and well being of homeless animals.
Assistant General Manager of Sales, John Pogorzelski stated, "We were thrilled to partner with Pampered 4 Paws to raise funds for such an outstanding charity. We look forward to hosting many more Bark in the Park nights at Monongalia County Ballpark."
The Black Bears and Pampered 4 Paws would like to thank every one who came out and supported the event.
