
Wenatchee beats Elks 8-1 Saturday

After sweeping the Wenatchee AppleSox in Bend last weekend, the Elks are on the verge of being swept in Wenatchee after losing to Wenatchee on Saturday night by a score 0f 8-1.
The AppleSox got on the board first by scoring 1 in the first, two in the fourth, then putting the game out of reach by scoring four in the seventh to take a big 7-0 lead before the Elks got on the board in the top of the eigth to avoid being shutout for the second consecutive night.
Kurt Jahnke took the loss for the Elks on the night, going 5.2 IP, giving up 3 runs, 2 earned, on 8 hits, but was the victim of quiet bats from the Elks for the third consecutive night.
The Elks will attempt to avoid being swept on Sunday against Wenatchee, first pitch scheduled for 6:05.
