
Welter named Sher-wood Player of the week

HUNTSVILLE, AL - Josh Welter, a center for the Fayetteville FireAntz, has been named the Sher-wood Hockey "Player of the Week."
Welter finished the week with 4 goals and 5 assists. He scored all four goals and had two assists in an 11-1 win over the Jacksonville Barracudas on November 15. He has played in 11 games this season scoring 9 goals and adding 10 assists giving him a total of 19 points. He is originally from Ft. Saskatchewan, Alberta.
Rob Whidden, Welter's teammate, was also nominated. They helped the FireAntz to achieve a record breaking week. Whidden scored 4 goals and had 4 assists this week, including four goals and two assists in the win over Jacksonville. It was the first time in history that two Fire Antz players have scored three goals in the same game, they both scored four.
