ICE CHIPS: The KOOTENAY ICE enter the sixth week of the 2004-2005 regular season with a 9-7-2-0 record (5-2-2-0 at home, 4-5-0-0 on the road, 2-0-2-0 in overtime) and in first place in the BC DIVISION...KOOTENAY will play seven of their next nine games at home.

SPCA NIGHT: When the ICE host the BRANDON WHEAT KINGS on Wednesday, November 3, the SPCA will be on hand to raise funds for their local shelter...You'll have the opportunity to see some of the shelter animals in action and win great prizes.

DID YOU KNOW: NIGEL DAWES played in his 200th career WHL game Friday, October 29 in SASKATOON...DAWES needs four goals to move into first place in all-time goals scored with the KOOTENAY franchise (JARRET STOLL leads with 124) and nine assists to move into fifth place in all-time assists (JASON JAFFRAY is fifth with 102 career assists)...ADAM TAYLOR recorded his 50th career WHL goal October 26 in MOOSE JAW...CHAD GREENAN recorded his first career WHL point October 24 in BRANDON...TAYLOR DAKERS recorded his second shutout of the 2004-2005 season, and third of his WHL career, October 23 in REGINA (31 saves)...ANDY BOSSENCE recorded his first career WHL goal against the PATS...STEVEN DASILVA recorded his first career WHL point in REGINA...DALE MAHOVSKY needs five goals to reach 50 in his WHL career...JEFF GLASS became the all-time leader for games played by a goaltender with the ICE franchise (104) October 26 in MOOSE JAW...GLASS needs to play 55 minutes to move into first for all-time minutes played (DAN BLACKBURN leads with 5,927).

ONE YEAR AGO: After 18 games of the 2003-2004 season the ICE were 9-6-1-2, after 19 games 10-6-1-2 and after 20 games 10-7-1-2.
