
Stoner named Greyhound WHL Player of the Week

Calgary - The Greyhound WHL Player of the Week is defenceman Clayton Stoner of the Tri-City Americans. Stoner earned player of the week honours by recording two goals and four points in two games during the week of October 25th to October 31st. The two goals that Stoner scored were game-winning overtime goals.
On Friday, October 29th, Stoner recorded the game-winning goal and an assist in a 3-2 overtime win against the visiting Everett Silvertips.
On Saturday, October 23rd, Stoner scored the game-winning goal and added an assist in a 4-3 overtime win against the visiting Spokane Chiefs.
Stoner, a 19 -year-old from Port McNeill, British Columbia was drafted in the 3rd round, 79th overall by the Minnesota Wild in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft.
