SPECIAL TEAM MATCH-UP: This game features among the best special teams in the North American Hockey League. The Bulls rank first on the power play and 11th overall in penalty killing. The IceRays are 10th best on the power play with eight goals, but none of those markers have come on the road. In penalty killing, the IceRays are 12th overall and have given up eight goals (four each on the road and at home). Corpus Christi has yet to score a shorthanded goal or allow one in 12 games.
HOT GOALIES LEAVING THEIR MARK: This weekend's match-up features hot goaltenders for both teams. Collin Delia has not allowed a goal in his last 150 minutes of action and enters the weekend with a goals against average of 1.09. Paul Berrafato has surrendered just six goals to South Division opponents and has yet to taste defeat. The IceRays' Ben Myers has yielded two goals in his last three games and supports an average of 1.55.
