Richmond, VA: The Indoor Football League is proud to announce the Week Two Vidswap.com Players of the Week. The IFL's second weekend was marked by exciting finishes and dynamic playmaking. Each week the IFL will select three players, one from each phase of the game (offense, defense, and specials teams), whose play on the field stood out among the rest of the competition. Seven games were featured in the second weekend of play and the following player's performances propelled them to Week Two Vidswap.com Players of the Week.

Offensive Player of the Week: QB Jake Phillips, Green Bay Blizzard

Phillips and the rest of the Blizzard were impressive in their IFL debut as they were victorious in a tough road game against the Sioux City Bandits 69-61. Phillips was exceptional, completing 16-22 passes for 241 yards for 8 TDs. This weekend the Blizzard will travel to take on the Bloomington Extreme in a Central North Division matchup.

Defensive Player of the Week: DB Johnell Brown, Fairbanks Grizzlies

Brown turned in an exceptional performance Monday night as the Grizzlies edged the Tri-Cities Fever 69-67 in an "IFL Instant Classic." The battle between Pacific North Division rivals lasted over 4 hours as the game needed 4 overtimes to be decided. Brown was stellar in the secondary as he intercepted 2 passes, one of which he returned 15 yards for a TD, and broke up 3 passes. The Grizzlies are off to a 2-0 start and will look to extend that winning streak this Friday when they travel to take on the Kent Predators.

Special Teams Co-Players of the Week: WR Johnny Anderson, LB Eric Henri, West Texas Roughnecks

Anderson and Henri combined to create the play of the year thus far in the IFL Season. The Roughnecks were trailing the Abilene Ruff Riders 33-29 with 1:52 left in the 4th quarter when the Ruff Riders lined up to attempt a lead extending FG. Anderson penetrated the line and blocked the attempt while Henri recovered the loose ball in the end zone giving the Roughnecks the win 36-33. The win snapped a 4 game losing streak for the Roughnecks against the Ruff Riders. Next the Roughnecks will host the Amarillo Venom.

The IFL season continues Friday March 12th as the Fairbanks Grizzlies travel to take on the Kent Predators and the Arkansas Diamonds host the San Angelo Stampede Express. You can view live broadcasts of IFL games all season long at www.b2livetv.com.
