June 2, 2010 - Indoor Football League (IFL) News Release

Richmond, VA: The Indoor Football League is proud to announce the Week Fourteen Vidswap.com Players of the Week. As post season preparations become the focus and in game intensity pick up, competition becomes tougher for securing IFL weekly honors. Each week the IFL selects three players, one from each phase of the game, offense, defense, and specials teams, whose play on the field stood out among the rest of the competition. Ten games were featured in the fourteenth weekend of football and the following players stand out performances earned them the bragging rights of the Week Fourteen Vidswap.com Players of the Week.

Offensive Player of the Week: WR Reggie Gray, Chicago Slaughter

When you have a record breaking game like Chicago did as they defeated West Michigan 83-49, you know you have to have some special offensive players. "Big Play" Reggie Gray certainly lived up to the moniker bestowed upon him. The Slaughter receiver caught five of Chicago's touchdowns during the game. He had a total of eight catches on the day for 123 yards. Gray and his Chicago teammates will look to make history again next week in Rochester. The Week Fifteen match-up will feature an industry first, as the Chicago Slaughter meet the Rochester Raiders in an outdoor game contested under indoor football standards.

Defensive Player of the Week: LB Vince Hall, Richmond Revolution

The underdog Richmond Revolution were able to defeat the Green Bay Blizzard 54-44 in a game that clinched the Revolution a home game in the first round of the playoffs. While the game was certainly an offensive showcase, defense played a pivotal role in the outcome of the contest. At the epicenter of the defensive play was linebacker Vince Hall. The stats line might just speak for itself. Hall had quite the day of terrorizing the Blizzard offense. He racked up eight tackles, 2.5 of which were for a loss. Hall also had .5 sacks and not only forced a fumble during the game, but came up with a fumble recovery as well. Richmond will hope Hall can dominate again in Week Fifteen as the Revolution march on to Atlantic East rival, the Maryland Maniacs.

Special Teams Player of the Week: KR James Terry, Sioux Falls Storm

The Storm were upset a few weeks ago by the Omaha Beef. So the rematch promised to deliver quite the ballgame. Fans were treated to a 57-56 overtime win by the Storm. Kick Returner James Terry played a big role in helping his team stay in the game, and finally claim victory. Terry had three returns for 77 yards during the game. One of those big returns was for 50 yards that he ran in for a touchdown. He also played an important part in the offense by getting 49 yards on eight catches and scoring two touchdowns. The resurging Storm will travel to Colorado for Week Fifteen where they will try and end a recent Ice winning streak.

The IFL season continues with Week Fifteen on Friday June 4th as the Kent Predators host the Tri-Cities Fever and Amarillo Venom take on the Diamonds in Arkansas. You can view live broadcasts of IFL games all season long at www.b2livetv.com.
