Columbus Lions News Release

At Wednesday's press conference, the 2010 SIFL Champion Columbus Lions (9-1) announce their plans for "Pack the House" Night coming this Saturday night as they will host in-state rival Albany Panthers (9-1) for the right to take both home-field throughout the SIFL's Eastern Conference playoffs along with the Southern Division title.

With a busy weekend ahead, the Columbus Lions announced today that they have entered a partnership with the Children's Miracle Network in which the Lions will donate a dollar for every fan in attendance at this Saturday's game.

"On behalf of the Children's Miracle Network and the Medical Center we want to thank the Columbus Lions for thinking of us during this time," says Kim Jones of the Children's Miracle Network. "The most important part of this donation is that every dollar raised gets to stay right here in Columbus and the Medical Center.

In hopes of gathering 4,000 fans in attendance for Saturday's game, on Thursday and Friday from 6-10 a.m. head coach Jason Gibson will be broadcasting along-side Boomer 106's Ed Bostic from the roof of the Columbus Civic Center. In addition on Thursday and Friday, fans will be able to purchase tickets not only from the Civic Center but also at the Hooter's located on Adams Farm Drive located in North Columbus.

Fans in Fort Benning will be able to spot the Lions as both Anthony Merritt and Gerald Gales along with some Dance Team members and Hooter's Girls will be making stops at Kelley Hill and other locations on Fort Benning spreading the word about Saturday's "Pack the House" night.
