
Webb, Bocchi, Denholm Participate in Major League Dreams Showcase

(Rochester, Minn.) - Nate Webb (UC Riverside), Matteo Bocchi (Texas) and Logan Denholm (UC Davis) represented the Rochester Honkers in the Major League Dreams Showcase Tuesday at Warner Park. All three Honkers players were on the Home Team as they were defeated 3-2 by the Away Team.
Webb started at third base for the Home Team and finished 1-for-4. He singled to right field in his second at bat to give the Home Team one of their four hits. Additionally, Webb stole a base after reaching on a fielder's choice.
Bocchi came in to pitch the sixth inning and tossed a scoreless inning. The Italy native gave up two hits but was able to work out of a jam getting a strike out with a runner on third and one out. Bocchi got the next batter to ground out to get out of the inning.
Denholm entered the game at catcher in the fifth inning and went 0-for-2 but did show off his arm throwing out a runner trying to steal second in the sixth.
The Honkers have their last home game of the summer Wednesday as they host the Duluth Huskies. Wednesday is Fan Appreciation Night, the first 500 fans receive free car washes provided by Holiday Station Stores and Minnesota 97.5. Drew Slade (Ripon) is scheduled to make his 11th start for the Honkers, Slade has a 6.42 ERA and a 2-8 record. Jason Braziel (Friends) is scheduled to start for the Huskies, Braziel has a 2-1 record and a 3.85 ERA. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
