
Wave's Balanced Offensive Attack Too Much For Riot!

MILWAUKEE (February 19, 2011) - The Milwaukee Wave's balanced offensive attack saw seven players contributing goals to give the Wave a 20-4 win over the Chicago Riot on Saturday night in the U.S. Cellular Arena.
The Wave's defensive battle in the first-quarter resulted in a scoreless quarter. Fast and energetic, the Wave tore out 7 points in the second quarter. Marco Terminesi scored first points of the game with a three-point goal, and with Ian Bennett and Kyt Selaidopoulos each adding two-point goals. Terminesi improved his point streak to 24 contests with the goal. The Wave's defense continued their dominance into the second quarter led by Nick Vorberg who had nine saves in the half.
In the third-quarter, the Wave picked up where they had left off with a goal by Ryan Mack. The Riot got onto the board with a goal by Eric Lukin. Terminesi answered with another goal giving the Wave an 11-2 lead. The Wave continued its pressure holding the Riot to just that one goal through three quarters.
The Wave opened the fourth quarter with a Travis MacKenzie goal followed by Evan McNeley nailing a 3-point goal with an assist from Josh Rife. The Riot's Miki Djerisilo punched in a goal then had two quick penalties giving the Wave another powerplay opportunity. The Wave capitalized on the powerplay with a goal by Hewerton which put the Wave on top 20-4 ending the game.
Vorberg grabbed 19 saves, while defender Evan McNeley finished with a season-best six points. Terminesi recorded a season-high seven points, which puts him first in the league with 56 points.
The Milwaukee Wave has two home games remaining with exciting appearances and giveaways planned: March 6th and March 13th. On March 6th the first 3,000 fans will receive a Giuliano Oliviero Bobblehead. Super Bowl Green Bay Packers Desmond Bishop, Jermichael Finley, and Bryan Bulaga will be in attendance. There will also be appearances by Miss Wisconsin 2011 and Ty Brown from Season 6 of The Bachlorette. Family 4 Pack discounts are available for the game.
Super Bowl XLV MVP, Aaron Rodgers, will be attending the March 13th game on behalf of the MACC Fund where twelve randomly selected fans that purchase tickets prior to March 1st will have the opportunity to attend the VIP reception and meet Mr. Rodgers. In addition to the VIP Reception an additional twelve random fans will be selected right before the start of the game to win a number â12' Wave Rodgers jersey which they can take and have autographed by Mr. Rodgers.
