
Wave U set to battle Whtecaps tomorrow night; controls own destiny for final WesCo spot

Although winless in its last four outings, Milwaukee Wave United, the Wave's A-League (outdoor) team still controls its own destiny in the Western Conference playoff race. Coach Art Kramer's club is currently fifth in the conference with a record of 6-4-2 home / 2-6-1 road / 8-10-3 overall for 27 points, just seven points behind the fourth place Seattle Sounders (10-10-4, 34 points). The top four teams in both the Eastern and Western Conferences will qualify for the A-League playoffs beginning in September.
Vancouver (6-3-2 home / 6-4-2 road / 12-7-4 overall ((40 points)) is still looking for its first point(s) on a four-game road trip following a 0-0 tie at Montreal (8/6), a 2-0 loss at Toronto (8/7), and a 2-1 loss at Minnesota two nights ago (8/10). Combined with a 1-1 draw v. Calgary on 7/30, the Whitecaps are also winless in their last four (0-2-2).

All Wave United games home and away can be heard live on 540 AM, WRRD ("The Word") with air time for each contest approximately 20 minutes prior to kick-off.
Regular Season Home Finale Set for Thursday, August 19, 7:35 PM v. Edmonton at Uihlein
Following tomorrow night's match, Wave United will hit the road for games at Edmonton (Sunday, August 15, 7:05 PM CDT) and
Calgary (Tuesday, August 17, 8:05 PM CDT). Milwaukee returns to Uihlein Soccer Park to play its final regular season home game on Thursday, August 19, 7:35PM v. Edmonton. The latter date is a makeup from the originally scheduled 5/14 season opener that was postponed due to wet grounds at the Uihlein complex.
Keith Tozer 3 v. 3 Tournament This Weekend at Uihlein
The 10th annual Keith Tozer 3 v. 3 Soccer Tournament to benefit the March of Dimes takes place this Saturday and Sunday (August 14-15) at Uihlein Soccer Park. More than 200 teams of all age levels are expected to take part in the event. The Wave / Wave United merchandise trailer will also be open during the tournament.
