Wave takes on Premier Arena Soccer League All-Stars Wednesday

MILWAUKEE, WI (December 20, 2005) - The Milwaukee Wave and CNI Newspapers have teamed up to present students with a unique soccer experience TOMORROW, December 21 at 10:35 a.m. The Wave will battle the Premier Arena Soccer League (PASL) All-Stars in a school-day exhibition game.

Many schools will attend tomorrow's game and each student attending the game will receive a curriculum designed to combine their interest in soccer and sports with education. Informational booths will also be set up around the U.S. Cellular Arena during the game. As part of the program, schools are visited by members of the Wave who discuss the values of an education and how it applies to their lives and sports.

The game will feature the best indoor soccer players from around the world. The PASL is in its seventh season and features 50 teams in six regions throughout the United States and Canada. Their deep talent pool will ensure an entertaining game between the MISL's undefeated Milwaukee Wave and the PASL All-Stars. The fast paced fun that is expected at Wave games will be on display as these players showcase their talents.

The Wave resumes league play on December 31 at 1:05 p.m. against the California Cougars. Milwaukee will take aim at a franchise-best 8-0 start against California. Fans can take advantage of the Piggly Wiggly Family Four Pack on New Year's Eve where you can get four $14 tickets, four hot dogs and four sodas for $50. The Milwaukee Wave was established in 1984 as one of six charter members of the American Indoor Soccer Association (AISA). In 2001, the Wave transitioned to being a successful member of the Major Indoor Soccer League (MISL). Through the guidance of head coach Keith Tozer, the winningest coach in Wave and North American indoor soccer history, the Wave has won four league titles (1997-98, 1999-00, 2000-01, 2004-05), seven regular season championships, and has made seven championship series appearances.
