The Milwaukee Wave (4-1) will be looking to win its fourth straight Major Indoor Soccer League (MISL) contest tomorrow night, Friday, November 19 when it hosts the Monterrey (Mexico) Tigres (0-2) in a 7:05 PM match at U.S. Cellular Arena. Among the featured performers for Monterrey are two-time MISL Defender of the Year Genoni Martinez (runner up to the Wave's Greg Howes in last year's scoring race) and all-star midfielder Marco "Chikis" Lopez. Milwaukee counters with all-stars defenders Troy Dusosky, Chris Morman, and Lovelace Ackah, as well as midfielder Marcelo Fontana, who scored four goals in a pair of games last week and was subsequently named MISL Offensive Player of the Week. Goalkeeper Nick Vorberg has also been stellar in the nets for Milwaukee, posting a 4-0 mark with a league-leading 3.34 GAA.

Friday is also Elite Fitness and Racquet Clubs Night and Hispanic Heritage Night presented by Fiesta Garibaldi Restaurants, with four locations in the Milwaukee area including their newest location at 5108 W. Bluemound Rd.

Tozer and Company Arrive in Chinese Taipei for FIFA Futsal World Championship

Wave Coach Keith Tozer, Assistant General Manager Bryan "Moose" Koch, and players Greg Howes, Todd Dusosky, Johnny Torres and Pat White arrived in Chinese Taipei two days ago (11/16) with the rest of the U.S. National Futsal Team to get ready for the FIFA Futsal World Championship Nov. 21-Dec.5. The U.S. squad will play Italy (11/21) Paraguay (11/23) and Japan (11/25) in first round action and must finish among the top two in that group to advance to the next round.

Futsal, the international version of indoor soccer, is a derivative of the outdoor game played with five players on each side (four field players and a goalkeeper) utilizing a limited-bounce ball on an open (wall-less) court slightly bigger than a basketball court. The U.S. Team has now qualified for four-of-five FIFA Futsal World Championships (1989, 1992, 1996, 2004).

Wave on Radio / Internet: All road games may be heard live on 540 AM, WRRD ("The Word") with air time for each broadcast approximately 15 minutes prior to kick-off. All games home and away may be heard live on the Wave website at www.milwaukeewave.com.
