(Milwaukee, WI) The Milwaukee Wave, a member of the Major Indoor Soccer League (MISL) announced today that it has added Dr. Peder N. Piering to its staff as Team Sport Psychologist. The Milwaukee area resident, who has worked with other local teams such as the former Milwaukee Rampage (the A-League club replaced by Milwaukee Wave United prior to the start of last season) will be available to the Wave organization for the remainder of the current indoor season.

"Dr. Piering will be a great addition to our staff," said Wave Head Coach / Milwaukee Vice-President of Soccer Operations Keith Tozer. "In today's athletic environment, sport psychology is a very important tool for helping players prepare for games, especially playoff games."

A state-licensed psychologist with degrees from UW-Madison and the Illinois School of Professional Psychology, Dr. Piering is also looking forward to his new affiliation with the Wave.

"It will be a privilege to work with the Wave," said Piering. "They have already established a tradition of great soccer in Milwaukee. I hope to help them extend that tradition. As a sport psychologist, it will be my task to provide the team with the mental links necessary for continued athletic excellence. By accessing the power of the mind, we expect to maintain the competitive edge."

Dr. Piering can be reached by calling 414-405-2555, or through his website at www.igniteyourlife.org.
