Milwaukee Wave News Release
MILWAUKEE (October 18, 2010)-The Milwaukee Wave announced today that the team will play a 20-game schedule beginning on the road on November 12th and concluding at home March 13th, 2011. The Wave's home opener will be on Friday, November 26th at 7pm against the Missouri Comets, one of the three new teams in the MISL League.
"We anticipate the 2010-2011 season to be exciting as the Milwaukee Wave defends its regular season championship," stated owner Jim Lindenberg. "The Wave will also make history in continuing our commitment to our community as each game the Wave will wear a custom jersey featuring a local charity. The jerseys will be auctioned off at the end of each game to benefit the charity."
Due to the support of the corporate community, fans will receive a promotional item each game of the season including a bobble head and wall cling series. "We are thrilled to continue our tradition of not only being able to provide fans a great game to watch but also provide a fantastic experience off the field with promotions and entertainment," said Lindenberg.
The Wave will play 11 home games on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays over the 4 month period with the most home games in January. The other additional new teams, the Chicago Riots and Omaha Vipers, will come to Milwaukee on December 11th and January 14th respectively.
