Daytona Beach Hawgs News Release
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. â Two of Daytona Beach's newest family-fun attractions announce that they will partner on a number of events as they kick off their inaugural seasons this March.
The Daytona Lagoon Waterpark and Family Fun Center will join the Daytona Beach Hawgs family as a major sponsor â reaching out to area families with player meet-and- greets, coaches' show broadcasts and a host of family focused entertainment activities.
Daytona Lagoon owner Ed Kennedy and General Manager Patrick Morandi, and Hawgs Head Coach/General Manager Ervin Bryson are pleased to make this announcement.
Daytona Lagoon will serve as the title sponsor of the Hawgs' Harleigh Girls Dance Team, who, with the players, will appear at the park the day after each game. Waterpark guests will have the chance to challenge players and dance team members at the various games and rides available at the park, take pictures, and develop a bond with their hometown football team.
"It's a perfect fit,'' commented Bryson. "Daytona Lagoon is focused on familes and providing wholesome family entertainment. The Hawgs have truly found a home here in Daytona Beach and we look forward to meeting families and making friends through the partnership with this incredible new venue."
Daytona Lagoon, slated to open in March, is located across from the Ocean Center, the home field of the Hawgs.
The Hawgs open their season March 19 at Lakeland, with the home opener March 24 against the New Jersey Xtreme. Season and individual game tickets are available by calling the Ocean Center at (386) 254-4545.
