Washington Wizards Assign Forward Chris McCullough to Erie BayHawks

ERIE, PA - The Washington Wizards have assigned forward Chris McCullough to the Erie BayHawks through the NBA G League's flexible assignment system, it was announced today.

McCullough (6-9, 215), has appeared in 19 games for the Wizards this season, averaging 2.4 points and 1.3 rebounds in 4.7 minutes of action. He has been assigned to both the Wisconsin Herd (five games played) and the Northern Arizona Suns (three games played) this season. In his eight NBA G League games this season, McCullough has put up 10.9 points, 6.4 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 2.3 steals and 1.1 blocks in 22.3 minutes.

A 2015 first round draft pick (29th overall) by the Brooklyn Nets, McCullough has seen action in 59 NBA games (four starts) over his three-year career, owning career averages of 3.3 points and 1.9 rebounds in 9.0 minutes of play. The Syracuse product has appeared in 51 career NBA G League games (35 starts), averaging 15.3 points, 6.9 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.3 steals in 28.3 minutes.

The NBA G League's flexible assignment system allows for NBA teams that do not have a G League affiliate to assign players to any G League team that chooses to accept the assignment player.

Erie will embark on a three-game road trip, beginning tomorrow night against the Grand Rapids Drive. The BayHawks will also travel to Fort Wayne to take on the Mad Ants (March 17) and White Plains for a rematch with the Westchester Knicks (March 23), before finishing the 2017-18 regular season at home against the Mad Ants (March 24).
