Warriors Shut Out T-Birds

Moose Jaw, SK, November 18, 2008 - Moose Jaw Warriors goaltender Jeff Bosch made 27 saves Tuesday night at the Civic Centre to lead the Warriors to a 3-0 shutout of the Seattle Thunderbirds.

The T-Birds are now 3-2-0-1 on their seven-game road trip. They face the Swift Current Broncos on Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. in the last game of the road trip. Their next home game is Saturday, November 22, against the Portland Winter Hawks at KeyArena at 7:05 p.m.

Ian Duval put the Warriors in front 1-0 when he scored at 1:31 of the first period. Jason Bast and Joel Broda had assists on the goal.

Broda scored an unassisted shorthanded goal at 13:15 of the first give Moose Jaw a 2-0 lead.

Moose Jaw (7-14-0-1) outshot Seattle 6-5 in the first period.

Calvin Pickard replaced Jacob DeSerres in the Seattle net to start the second period. DeSerres made four saves on six shots and his record falls to 3-6-0-0.

Riley Reinbolt made it a 3-0 Warriors lead at 16:13 of the second period. Martin Filo and Ryan Stanton assisted on the goal.

The Warriors led 18-11 in total shots after two periods by outshooting the T-Birds 12-8 in the second period.

Seattle (9-12-1-2) outshot the Warriors 14-5 in the third period and 27-23 in the game.

Pickard made 16 saves on 17 shots.

Bosch improved his record to 3-7-0-2 with the shutout.
