December 19, 2018 - National Lacrosse League (NLL) - Vancouver Warriors News Release

Vancouver, BC - Vancouver's biggest holiday party is this Friday at the Vancouver Warriors home opener, and everyone is invited! Fans can enjoy $5 beers, a fun $2 food menu, $20 tickets and participate in an opportunity to help the homeless. The Warriors' home schedule begins Friday at 7 PM against the Calgary Roughnecks. If you are a sports fan, this is a must-see event.

WARRIORS TOP FIVE:

$5 BEERS - Nuff said.

$2 MENU - Fans can enjoy unprecedented pricing with a menu of $2 items, including: classic hotdog, popcorn, pretzel, churro, side of fries, medium pop and water. A $5 menu includes: 12oz beer, 12oz cider, 5oz wine, 1oz highball, burger, pizza slice, chicken tenders and fries, traditional poutine, grilled cheese sandwich, nachos and a footlong hotdog.

$20 TICKETS - Some of the most affordable sports tickets in town are available now at vancouverwarriors.com/tickets.

GREAT BALLS OF FIRE - You like pyro? We've got pyro. Don't miss the opening ceremony and player intros.

WARM SOCKS FOR THE HOMELESS - An ode to the "Sock Trick" (when a player scores six goals), fans are encouraged to celebrate the tradition by throwing 4,000 new pairs of socks (handed out on arrival) on the field at half time. The new pairs of socks will be donated to individuals in the Downtown Eastside and throughout Vancouver. By donating one of the most needed items, everyone will walk away with a warm feeling inside. The Warriors have teamed up with the Ministry of Health and Addictions to raise awareness and distribute socks for the Union Gospel Mission, YWCA Crabtree Corner, Kettle Society, Covenant House and branches of the Downtown Community Health Centre.
