Ontario Warriors News Release

Ontario, CA. Oliver Binns, GM of the ABA Ontario Warriors professional basketball team today announced that Bernard Thompson will serve as Special Consultant to the team. Thompson, 42, is a former 1st round pick by the Portland Trailblazers in 1984. The Fresno State All-American shooting guard played five seasons in the NBA with Portland, Phoenix and Houston before completing his career abroad.

A native and resident of Phoenix, Thompson will assist the Warriors with securing team sponsorships, coordinating camps and league operations. "It's an exciting time in the ABA and I just want to help Oliver and the Warriors in any facet," said Thompson. Binns added, "We are putting together a very strong team on the court - and with the addition of Bernard, it certainly enhances our team off the court. The combination will make Ontario one of the premiere teams in this exciting league."
