Vancouver Warriors News Release
Duluth, GA - Andrew Kew scored 1:21 into overtime to quell a Vancouver Warriors comeback and turn aside the BC visitors 12-11 before 6957 fans in suburban Atlanta.
The Warriors erased a 10-6 deficit late in the third quarter by scoring the next four goals, including a pair by Keegan Bal, to tie the game with just over six minutes to play. After a Lyle Thompson goal put the Swarm back on top, Adam Charalambides put the road Warriors back into a tie with a laser from 20 feet to send the game to extra time. Kew then scored the game winner, and after a long review, the goal stood for Georgia.
Bal ended up with five points on the night, scoring twice and adding three assists in the loss. Other scorers for Vancouver tonight were Kevin Crowley and Adam Charalambides with two each, while Ryan Martel, Tyson Kirkness, Owen Grant and Brad McCulley with his first as a Warrior rounded out the scoring.
