Warriors Fall in Saturday Night Shootout 2-1

Jake Hopfner scored a power-play goal at 15:16 of the 3rd period to sent Saturday night's game to overtime. The game went to a shootout where Port Huron's Noah Batis scored the game-winner in the 6th round of shootout.

Port Huron's Mitch Maloney netted his 6th goal of the season on the power-play to open scoring, while Hopfner's 6th of the season, also on the power-play tied the contest at one-goal a piece.

Alex Blankenburg made 39 saves for Port Huron in the victory, while Michigan's Trevor Gorsuch stopped 26 in a losing effort.

The Warriors and Falcons meet on Sunday afternoon in Port Huron for game two- of the 2-game weekend series.

Michigan returns home for a pair of games at Perani Arena and Event Center on November 15 & 16 against the Soo Eagles to start the next home stand for the Warriors.
